Seashell Topography

Description

A "threshold" drawing of a naturally occurring fractal. I chose the repetitious shapes of a seashell. This is somewhere between what can actually be seen, and what I imagine the surface of the shell would look like. Hence, "threshold".

Medium: Graphite, Ebony Pencil, and Vine Charcoal on Lennox Paper.

Oh my, I love this. I lovelove love nautilus shells!!! You may want to consider joining #sacred geometry and submitting this as a piece to the group considering its relation to the golden ratio, etc. I think the group would love to have your art in it's collection!! +FAVE
