My Bio
Hi everyone. My name is Phil Hernandez. I'm a starving artist just like everyone else! I finally decided to take the leap onto deviant art, to get some attention to my work. I'm currently attending the Kansas City Art Institute (KCAI), and decided to use deviantart to keep track of all my work.
As far as my work goes I consider my work to be along the thematic lines of "distillation" or "condensation". This means that I try to condense the world into recognizable imagery that everyday people understand. I think that art is for the masses, and for my work to be recognizable, it has to be as straightforward as possible.
On this same topic, "simple" and "recognizable" work does not have to mean "stupid" or childish. Art shouldn't hide behind a veil of pomp and circumstance. In my experience, people understand straightforwardness. I'm not going to preach to anyone in my work, or try to reinvent the wheel. I am however, going to continue to see the world through my eyes and spit it back out for you all. Haha. Hope that's enough for everyone, feel free to comment and get in touch. Enjoy!

Hey everyone, I know I have never used the journal thing before, but I wanna run something by everyone. I am looking at doing a limited run of prints for the "Octopus' Garden" fractal piece, http://pheelip2010.deviantart.com/art/Octopus-Garden-200480842 and was wondering if there is even any demand for it. They would be printed on beautiful gloss paper, I would sign each and # them. We're not talking about injet quality, but professionally done.
